Legend has it that the Greek nymph Minthe was transformed into peppermint, which bears the characteristically fresh-sweet scented essential oil in its stems and leaves. Peppermint is one of the oldest herbs used in medicine and has always been known for its revitalizing and refreshing effect. Fresh accords of seawater with a sweet, resinous, pleasantly warm, and often rather powdery note. The oriental-inspired bouquet arises from a blend of balsams, including labdanum, benzoin, vanilla, styrax, and fir. Character: oriental, fougère. Top notes: amber. Heart notes: peppermint. Base notes: cardamom.
